In a society in which patterns of living keeps people apart, there is a growing hunger for significant relationships that provide a framework for Christian growth, service and accountability. That is why our small groups play an integral part in the life of Fort Square. All are welcome to take advantage of our groups.


Small Group Bible Studies - are a key part of our small groups. Call the church office, 617-471-6806 to find the one that is right for you.

Young at Heart - group for those over 55. Meets on the third Tuesday of the month at 12:00 noon for a meal and devotions, followed by a program of entertainment at 1:00 p.m. The cost of the meal is $4 and all seniors are invited for a time of rich fellowship. Several times a year bus tours are taken.

Adult Fellowship - a group in existence for many years - on Sunday night at 7:30 p.m. meets in various homes for singing and refreshments. See church bulletin.

Fort Square Softball - We are part of a local church league and welcome new players to join us contact Jon Wilson for more information. If you don't play please come and cheer us on.  For more information see

Friendship Circle - a group of women who meet on the 2nd Tuesday of the month at 7:30 p.m. for fellowship and a program. At Thanksgiving they help lead special service focused on missions. A great opportunity to meet women of the church.

Choir - if you like to sing and to get to know people, this group is for you. Practices on Thursday nights at 7:00 p.m. and sings at the second service. Does several special concerts a year. Some musical background helpful; all who would like to serve are welcome to try out.

Men's Christial Fellowhip (MCF) meets every first and third Saturdays at 7:30-9:00 a.m. - Join us at the church for breakfast, prayer, mutual support and Bible study.

Life Groups - Life groups meet at least twice a year for 7 weeks at a time focused on a church-wide topic or study. Meeting in people's homes, they provide fellowship, support, accountability, Bible study, and prayer.

Mothers of Preschoolers (MOPS) - MOPS International exists to meet the needs of every mom - urban, suburban and rural moms, stay-at-home and working moms, teen, single and married moms - moms with different lifestyles who all share a similar desire to be the very best moms they can be! MOPS recognizes that the years from infancy through kindergarten are foundational in a mother-child relationship and are filled with unique needs. Our local meeting times at Fort Square: (2nd & 4th Tuesdays 9:30 -11:30 a.m.) Contact our leaders Cindy Comiso & Cathy Maxwell for details on our local MOPS program.

Alpha - Looking for answers? The Alpha Course is an opportunity for anyone to explore the Christian faith. Contact Kathy Ryan for details on our local Alpha program.

Alcoholics Anonymous (AA) is a fellowship of men and women who share their experience, strength and hope with each other that they may solve their common problem and help others to recover from alcoholism.
